Terms of service
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Palate AI LLC ("Palate", "we") about your use of Palate. By creating an account or using Palate, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Palate.
Who can use Palate
You must be at least 13, and if you're under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe.
What Palate does
Palate recommends restaurants, talks about food and helps you book tables, or links you to where you can. Its recommendations come from an AI model and from restaurant information that can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, including hours, prices, menus and availability. Use your judgment, and always confirm allergens and dietary requirements directly with the restaurant.
Reservations and other services
Reservations are made with the restaurant or a booking service such as Resy, OpenTable or Tock, under their terms, including their cancellation and no-show policies and any fees. We aren't a party to your reservation and aren't responsible for what a restaurant or booking service does.
Your content
You own what you add to Palate, such as ratings, notes and messages. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to run and improve Palate, including showing it to friends you connect with and counting your ratings, without your name, in community ratings. Don't add anything illegal, anything you don't have the right to share, or anything abusive.
Using Palate responsibly
Don't misuse Palate. That includes interfering with the service, trying to get into other people's accounts or data, using Palate to break the law or harass anyone, and reselling reservations made through it.
Beta
Palate is in beta. Features may change or stop working, and we may limit or end access. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers
Palate is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Palate isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, and disputes will be resolved in its state or federal courts, except where the law where you live gives you other rights.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll update the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes. Using Palate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
